In a speech delivered at the 'Hack in the Box' event held in Amsterdam Saumil Shah explained how tech users may be hacked just by looking at an image.
"Hiding in plain sight" - malicious code hidden in pictures to take advantage of existing browser exploits.
Encoding can be done in PNG and JPG images with no visible aberration or distortion. The exploit is automatically decoded and triggered
