Emoji Passcodes?

A British firm has released an alternative to the traditional four digit pin code often used in consumer banking.

Intelligent Environments claims that its Emoji Passcode service is more secure because there are more potential combinations of the 44 emojis than there are of the numbers 0-10. Online banks are reported to have expressed an interest in the idea. The service is designed to appeal to the 15 - 25 age demographic.

Memory experts have agreed that it is easier to remember images than numbers but also accept that the weakness in the system is the human user who may choose the easiest option of selecting the first four images available thus removing any possible benefit over pin codes or passwords.
