Mark Zuckerberg's Terrible Password

The man behind Facebook, the world’s most popular social network, has a woeful grasp of online security/privacy.
The only thing between Mark Zuckerberg’s social media accounts and a ‘hacker’ were two letters, ‘d’ and ‘a’.

Eschewing multiple strong passwords made up of a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols, Zuckerberg instead settled on one password - the simplistic ‘dadada’. Possibly one of the worst passwords that isn't 'password' or '123456'.

The Facebook CEO's Twitter and Pinterest handle, @finkd, was accessed by Saudi Arabian hackers who claim to have reused data from the LinkedIn breach to access Zuckerberg’s other social media accounts. The hacker collective refers to itself as ‘OurMine’.

To its credit, Twitter was prompt in suspending the account once it was notified of the breach.

Readers are reminded to take care of their privacy by being responsible with their security. Make use of a good password manager that will allow you to make (and store) strong, unqiue passwords for each account. Do not use one password across multiple platforms.
